MP9487GN-Z Description

The MP9487 is a high-voltage, step-down,switching regulator that delivers up to 1A ofcontinuous current to the load. It integrates ahigh-side, high-voltage, power MOSFET with acurrent limit of 3.5A, typically. The wide 4.5V to100V input range accommodates a variety ofstep-down applications, making it ideal forautomotive, industry, and lighting applications.Hysteretic voltage-mode control is employed forvery fast response. MPS’s proprietary feedbackcontrol scheme minimizes the number ofrequired external components.The switching frequency can be up to 1MHz,allowing for small component size. Thermalshutdown and short-circuit protection (SCP)provide reliable and fault-tolerant operations. A170µA quiescent current allows the MP9487 tobe used in battery-powered applications.The MP9487 is available in a SOIC-8 packagewith an exposed pad.
